A Fitting Tribute to Neerja Bhanot. A Must Watch.

Warning: Spoilers
Salute to Neerja Bhanot for her bravery in face of danger and for saving lives of passengers and crew. I was touched to see audience acknowledge her bravery at the end of the movie.

Coming to the review: the movie started off well with the director contrasting the lives of Neerja and the terrorists prior to boarding the plane. Neerja had a air of fun around her, but her past was burdened with troubled marriage; And this provided some content for the writer otherwise the movie had nothing much to offer- terrorist shouting PILOT ten times into the radio. On the other hand, performances by Sonam Kapoor and Shabana Azmi were strong. The last few scenes were very emotional. Especially Shabana Azmi's tribute to her daughter. I am sure it got few people crying. The movie's portrayal of Neerja's bravery and quick wit were commendable. The end was brutal, yet confusing- not knowing what happened and why did the terrorist start shooting, or did the troops entered and triggered the shooting.

It would have been more enlightening if the movie had focused a little more on the political consequence of such a poorly handled negotiations.

My favorite moment was the opening of gift by SK because it provided an emotional connection from beginning to end, and it gave Neerja courage to do what she really did.

A must watch.
