Return of a fan-favourite character.

Freddy's back! And, he's gone. Also in this episode, Hammerschmidt digs deeper and the Underwood's relationship takes an unconventional turn. This episode was less about the politics and more about the drama, and yet I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Freddy makes an awesome, albeit brief return. I have a feeling this may be the last episode with him. It's great to see the actor again, and there is some surprising animosity between him and Frank. This continues this season's pattern of bringing in characters who have not been relevant in a while and not only giving them something to do, but concluding their story.

Speaking of which, Hammerschimdt continues his research. I have an inkling of where this is going, I'm just wondering when. On another note, there is the return of the highly unusual nature of the Underwoods' sexual partnerships. The ICO plot also continues to be developed.

This was a good third to last episode, setting things up for hopefully two intense final episodes.
