Oh wow, perfect ending to a fantastic series!

Warning: Spoilers
Normally great mini series like these often end in tragedy or uncertainty. And given that was the ending to John Le Carré's novel, I was worried and certain this would be where it would end up.

But I am so, so so relieved that the series had a HAPPY ending, for once! With shows like Game of Thrones and others ending in miserably sad fates for beloved characters, I was intensely satisfied with the ending for this one.

The episode was so tense that I had to stop it a few times, scared of what was to come next. Richard Roper (played by Hugh Laurie in surprising turn) truly is the worst man in the world, cold, inhuman and capable of anything.

I absolutely adored Olivia Colman's character Angela Burr. A role typically assigned to men, she is a fearless, intelligent agent determined to sweep the worst scum off the earth whatever the cost, all the while being heavily pregnant.

Tom Hiddleston, of course, is brilliant as the avenging angel and spy Jonathan Pine, taking on various identities and kicking the crap out of arms and drug dealers.

All in all, one of the few mini series which thoroughly satisfied me as a viewer. Well done indeed!
