Not too captivating

Warning: Spoilers
"The Last Time I Saw Richard" is an Australian (undeservingly) award-winning 25-minute live action short film from 2 years ago. The writer and director here is Nicholas Verso. What I found the most disappointing is how long he has been making films already and still, this is a really mediocre outcome. None of the aspects from this film stays in the mind. It is very much style over substance, tries to be shocking and matter on several occasions, but it always feels like try-hard and never as if I was watching a great story. The limited capability of the two lead actors is also not helping things. Even at under 30 minutes, this film dragged on a couple occasions. I do not recommend watching this one and I hope everybody involved with this one here can step up their game in the next years. They will have to if they want to make a difference. HHere they do not.
