Ever since episode 3 this season has sucked and to be honest there are a LOT of unnecessary plot decision's made. Letting Monty kill his mother was one of those unnecessary moments. I mean... really? You could have literally let any grounder kill her but for 'shock value' you decided to let her own son kill her so he is further traumatized? (Might I also mention that is the 5th Asian killed in the series?) Of course, the episode could also not be complete with the 'let's blame Clarke for what happened' and 'let's torture Raven some more'.
The reason why I gave this episode an 7 though is because of the stellar performance of the cast this episode, it's was really incredible. (Though there were a couple of moments where I felt that some of the emotions didn't come across as they should. It felt a little strange.)
