Season 4, Episode 6
10/10
Marvelously tense and unpredictable with a stunning ending

Warning: Spoilers
I couldn't move for a good couple of minutes after this ended. I had to take the time to process it. To sort it all out in my brain. That's how I know when an episode is truly a masterwork; when I can't move on right after I've finished watching it. Well, this episode is certainly that, and one of the show's best episodes.

In most episodes of Orphan Black, most of the clones appear, but their stories don't tie directly in with each other. We will follow one for a while, then another, then another. Like Game of Thrones. That's why it's so exhilarating when the rare episode comes along like this one or last week's instalment in which all the story lines revolve around one central plot. It provides a sense of clarity and eventfulness.

Clone Club negotiates a deal with Susan and Neolution, and most of the characters are involved in the execution of this trade. This leads to a very tense second half of the episode that really keeps you guessing as to who is doing what, why they are doing it, and what will happen next.

The Beth flashbacks finally came to a conclusion, and it was a tear-jerker. I was surprised by the way that the Beth flashbacks ran parallel very smoothly to the rest of the episode. It even ended up tying into the episode's main plot twist.

The only plot in this episode that wasn't directly involved in the central trading plot was Krystal's. It gave Art and Felix something to do, and also provided some of the only humour in this episode.

This is one of Orphan Black's best episodes. It unifies the plots in a way not common in this show. It features a great deal of tension and a touch of humour. The ending is a stunner.
