Landreth on television
2 June 2016
Warning: Spoilers
"Subconscious Password" is an 11-minute short film by Oscar-winning writer and director Chris Landreth and this 2013 film is his most recent work. It got on the short list for the Oscars again too I think, but did not manage to get in finally this time. If you know a bit about Landreth, you will know that this is an animated movie, although there is a live action impact in here too. And here, Landreth gives us his take on famous people and the absurdity that is television. But there is always some strangeness attached to Landreth's projects too and this one here is not an exception. It is a very bizarre watch. sadly, I must say it was just too wild and all over the place for my taste and I did not find it entertaining or memorable. I have seen some better work by the filmmaker and I don't think you should watch this one here without having seen any of his older work.
