Chappy Watched: Grace and Frankie - Season One
7 June 2016
When I first heard about this TV show and it's two lead stars; I was stoked! I'm a fan of 9 to 5 and of Lily Tomlin so to hear that she was going to star in a show with Jane Fonda, I was over the moon.

I was not disappointed!

Tomlin and Fonda are just brilliant in this both together and separately. The progression of their relationship throughout the show was awesome to watch as was the group scenes alongside with Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston.

Also deserving an honourable mention is Brooklyn Decker, June Diane Raphael, Ethan Embry and Baron Vaughn as the children of the two older couples, who give just as good performances as the lead stars.

I have to say, I wasn't as interested in watching the story of Sol (Waterston) and Robert (Sheen) as I was Grace and Frankie, I just always found my attention drawn to them.

The story is entertaining with plenty of charm and honesty, it's a good mix of comedy and drama and there is also surprisingly quiet a lot of swearing, even one c bomb!

The credits deserve a mention as well. I don't know what it is with Netflix but, along with Daredevil, they hire the right people to make an entertaining minute or so.

An awesome show that I can't recommend enough. I will 100% be tuning in to watch Season Two next year.

Fingers crossed for a guest appearance by Dolly Parton!
