One of Hallervorden's best I think

Warning: Spoilers
The 90-minute "Didi und die Rache der Enterbten" or "Nonstop Trouble with the Family" or "Auch Erben müssen sterben" is a somewhat dark comedy and not the most usual film for Dieter Hallervorden during the 1980s. Here he plays a character who has the same name like himself and also many many more characters, including a whole lot of family members who try too kill poor Didi in order to get an inheritance that was intended for Didi. But Didi actually is not the one who ends up dying on all kinds of occasions. It is a really huge project for Hallervorden here looking at how many characters he plays and that he also co-directed. I think no other German actor back then could have pulled it off. But of course the film also offers the usual brand of comedy that Hallervorden was entertaining his audiences back then. He was such a great talent, still is today, even if he is part of entirely different films these days. As for this one here, I must say I quite enjoyed it. The script is entertaining, Hallervorden is at his peak (over 30 years ago) and the costumes are great fun too. I especially loved him when he played that elitist older woman. Hilarious stuff, but the other ones are funny too as is Didi the protagonist. Really great moments were perhaps missing, that's why I don't give it a higher rating, but I was well-entertained nonetheless. I realize this brand of comedy is certainly not for everybody, but I still give it a thumbs-up and I recommend it to you. Check it out!
