11.22.63 (2016)
Terrible adaptation

Warning: Spoilers
What the producers of this miniseries have done with the book is nothing short of criminal. And, if you say they didn't have time to follow the book closely, remember that The Stand, in its original release, was almost as long as 11-22-63, but it followed the book extremely closely, with only one minor change which was to convert the fat boy into just a nerd, but otherwise he was the same character. This 11-22-63 adaptation totally screws up the book. A horrible mishmash. One example: Sadie is portrayed as breaking up with Jake because he supposedly was secretly recording Oswald and his wife having sex, when the real reason was she was upset that she felt, with reason, that he was holding back with her on his true identity and what was going on. I'm very disappointed in it, as it would have made a fantastic series if it had been followed. I can't understand why Stephen King allowed this butchery of what is his, IMO, best novel ever. He certainly didn't need the money, so why?
