Review of Kabali

Kabali (2016)
6/10
A failed movie With Complete Rajni Show
21 July 2016
According to me, Pa. Ranjith was the only factor that made me to watch Kabali in its first day. And the teaser also added some flavours to my expectations. Synopsis Kabali aka Kabaleeshwaran releases from the jail in malaysia after serving 25 years. He then sets out revenge coz of losing his pregnant wife on the notorious gang 43 led by a Chinese gangster Tony and Veera. First half pretty much decent with the solid performances of Rajni Kanth and with some good twists. But second half was mere failure with lagging portions and poor screenplay. Mass elements was missing throughout except some good mass scenes in the first half. Background score was not up to Santhosh Narayanan's quality. In fact felt so many rip offs from western songs and Hollywood movies. On the other hand, Radhika Apte delivered some good moments. She is really a gem.. Dhansika was top notch in her looks and performance.. Attakathi Dinesh was on his top performance as the side kick of Kabali. In fact he proved again that he is an actor of performance. John Vijay did well as Amir. Kishor doesn't have much to do and was okay. Winston who played the baddie was okay but something was missing. Camera-work could have been better and the editor failed in this lagging kabali. All in the whole, a watchable one with clichés and logic less scenarios. Watch for Rajni.. A rajni show.. He has improved in his acting skills and his machismo.. His looks, presentation was top notch. 6.7 on 10 will be my score for this Rajni Movie and Pa. ranjith fails to deliver a masterpiece..
