Silly and dumb but I enjoyed it

Warning: Spoilers
Underdog is based on the original animated TV show that came out many years ago and tells the tale of a dog named Shoeshine who after a disastrous run in with the police force when he was joined in the force at the time ends up being sent to a pound where an evil scientist played by Peter Dinklidge is experimenting, only for Shoeshine to develop superhuman powers. Shoeshine(voiced by Jason Lee from Alvin & The Chipmunks)stumbles on a former police office played by Jim Belushi and his son who take in Shoeshine and Shoeshine becomes friends with Belushi's son. Of course the evil scientist is after him and he must keep his newly found powers a secret by donning a costume and calling himself Underdog. He wins the heart of a cocker spaniel(voiced by Enchanted's Amy Adams)who's owner Molly(played by that girl from The Grinch Taylor Monsom)is friendly with Shoeshine's new owner So will Shoeshine save the world from mankind.

With music from Randy Eldeman who did music for the likes of while You Were Sleeping,Leap Year,The Mask,27 Dresses and many more, and directed by the same man who brought you Racing Stripes. Underdog is actually not a bad film. Is it Oscar worthy no,is it the best Disney movie ever no,but is it enjoyable yes it is.

Overall I enjoyed it as I haven't seen it in a long time. Jason Lee was good as Underdog/Shoeshine but I couldn't help but think of him as Dave from the Alvin & The Chipmunks franchise as well as Amy Adams who voices his love interest, the cocker spaniel.

Not Bad
