This featured Dennis Christopher, who just a few years before made a name for himself in the American acclaimed movie Breaking Away. Even though Tales of the Unexpected is British, this episode was filmed in the USA, and was one of the final episodes of this fine series. The episode sort of had a lonely, solitude feel to it. Maybe the producers knew the series was coming to an end.
I found the episode quite tense, although some viewers may disagree. the ending was a twist in the tale, and I was kept guessing I guess. It also starred Brad Dourif who later became prominent as a voice in Child's Play and then in Lord of the Rings.
