As a father of young girls, I have a hard time finding TV programming that is empowering, responsible, and entertaining with any shred of morality in it. I was hopeful Supergirl would strike a balance, particularly for young women. Unfortunately, it's ridiculously campy, poorly written, and chocked full of any political agenda you can think of. It isn't good vs evil anymore. It's full of typical Hollywood-centric leftism and characters without any true convictions or compass. The villains are caricatures, the heroes are confused. The level of writing makes one believe the intended audience is 8 to 14 year old girls, but the unnecessary sexuality, language and imagery demonstrates otherwise. It had promise. Sadly, it's just another crappy TV show...
