4/10
Fly South little duckling. And don't bother coming back!
22 November 2016
Warning: Spoilers
I preferred it when Tom and Jerry cartoons were simply cat versus mouse, without the need for a third annoying supporting character. Southbound Duckling, as the title suggests, features that horrible duckling Quacker, and rather unsurprisingly, I didn't enjoy this one very much as a result.

This time, the cutesy duckling has got it into his head that he needs to fly south for the winter, besides Jerry showing him in a book that domestic fowl do not do this. After several failed attempts to join a flock of wild ducks, Quacker inevitably runs into Tom, who wants to eat the little chap. After more failed attempts to travel South, Quacker and Jerry finally make it to sunnier climes by plane.

3.5/10, rounded up to 4 for the finalé, in which Tom finally seems to have the upper hand.
