"Change the shape of ice cream cones!"
20 December 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Well, I recorded this off of the TCM cable channel and therefore felt compelled to watch it, but fair warning - even if you like precocious young kids, this might be a bit too much. With a toy store Santa Claus taking a breather and accompanied by a gangster attired young boy in a white suit, a series of novelty acts that would have been at home at a grade school talent show takes the stage. In the event you pass on this film, here's what you'll miss - a Boop-Boop-e-Doop girl, some boy dancers, an 'Irish Eyes' singer, a couple of female gymnasts doing cartwheels and tumbles, a barnyard singer, Audrey and Wesley doing a synchronized tap routine, a 'Tiny Tots Night Club' singing 'Good Ship Lollipop', a sprinkle and shine kid (don't ask), Betty the tap dancer and a La Cucaracha Kid. I hate to be down on a Kiddie Revue like this but there's not a lot to recommend here, even if some of the kids were cute. In case you're wondering, my summary line came right off a sign the very first kid who came into view was carrying. I was left wondering what that shape might be.
