The reason I'm writing is because I hear a lot of people complain that they don't get it or that the show is poorly delivered. The season is a bit odd and the show definitely has its problems but with a second season coming, it's pretty clear that the writers are just building up suspense and mystery. From the very beginning, the show is mysterious. No one knows what's going on or where this is taking place until episode 3. Some concepts are odd. Like the whole premise of the Dream World and if it's real or not. The make up needs a little work for one character, Mina. I don't know if it was on purpose but in the end she wore a lot more and it took place two years after the events throughout most of the season. Fox's dirty make up needs to be more realistic but her overall clean look is quite nice.

What's important is the story and the story is not about Fox and Mina, it's about Fox and Daisy. It's not about Mina. However, the season focuses on Mina's friendship with Fox and how that falls apart due to Fox never completely being honest. Xander is an ex lover of Fox's and serves as a foreshadowing future for Mina. My guess is that Mina will be hurting Fox in the future using Daisy.

It's completely unexpected and not a typical teen show. It's not perfect but for what it is, it's pretty good.
