Lost Property (2014)
7/10
Really charming
12 January 2017
An old lady enters a lost-property shop with photos of things she has lost, but despite the best efforts of the old attendant she seems not to find any of the apparently superfluous things she is looking for. This is the point of departure of the story.

This is a beautiful short film, with a vintage feeling, a lovely story, beautiful 2D visuals and a beautiful lyric music. The film is wordless, yet is very expressive without having to exaggerate or make a caricature of any of the characters. The ending is also very good, and for whatever The ending reminded me of The Notebook.

It is great finding a short that has a good narrative, that is charming and pleasing to the eye but not overdone. Good old savoir-faire.
