Disappoints, but still awes with thrills.

THE FINAL PROBLEM.

This season has been very, inconsistent, let's say. Whilst I very much enjoyed Six Thatchers and Abominable Bride, and straight up loved The Lying Detective, I had pretty high anticipations, even tho I know I shouldn't have.

Ultimately,I was disappointed. The whole story felt a bit unnatural and hard to believe. I didn't like how they used Eurus smartness to justify everything she was capable of doing. It was jarring to make almost the entire episode take place in a confined space. In the end nothing mattered, when it comes down to it. It was a bit too fast paced. We didn't even see the duo mourn the loss of their flat and it just jumps right into the plot. I felt like it needed to be at least a 2 hours movie or something.

Heavy in exposition and thrills, this finale will disappoint most. But it offers enough mystery solving and emotional moments to pardon itself. It makes a satisfying conclusion to the season, and the ending is wide open for others. It was well shot and acted, but didn't deliver on all the levels they promised us to.
