Review of Fursonas

Fursonas (2016)

Very interesting documentary, with a purpose

An interesting insight for someone with only a peripheral knowledge of the subject matter.

This documentary drives a not-so-subtle purpose in pointing out a significant discrepancy in the furry community, from what I could tell.

The film interviews several disparate peoples detailing their involvement and history in the community, however this takes an interesting turn when it focuses on the influence and strength of the self-proclaimed leader, Uncle Kage.

Boomer, the true manifestation of what a furry is, is ostracized and belittled multiple times by the wider community under the influence coming from a supposed furry, Uncle Kage, never seen in character (but by his own admission, a pillar of the community).

Jim Jones, anyone?

Compelling viewing that shows cult leaders can take advantage of any circumstance.
