Review of Salsipuedes

Salsipuedes (2016)
7/10
surprisingly charming

This is a rough-around-the-edges, small-budget film. And yet, I've found the characters and images have stuck with me since seeing the film a year ago, and I think of it often. Which is to say, it's surprisingly compelling. The acting isn't extraordinary, but it's not half bad...the children especially do a good job. The story line is somewhat predictable, but also sticks with you. A nice effort. A good reflection of the "inner city" of Panama City. Totally recommendable.
