In this episode Efrem Zimbalist takes on as a client Dr. Adele Mara who stands accused of poisoning her husband. The ADA is Edward Kemmer who's a fast rising star in the office and has persuaded Mara to claim a mercy killing as the husband was terminal. But she's having second thoughts and that's why Stu Bailey is hired.
The poison was delivered via a glass of warm milk and even the doctor is concerned she might have accidentally done something. Of course the truth comes out. I should say that Kemmer has a lot riding on this case and uses his connections to threaten the livelihood of the Bailey&Spencer firm.
One memorable reason to see this is a beatnik milkman played by Victor Buono who provides some key evidence. But Edd Byrnes is needed to translate.
