Samurai Jack: Episode XCIV (2017)
Season 5, Episode 3
10/10
Deep, dark and dangerous.

Warning: Spoilers
Somehow this season has managed to become more engrossing with everything episode right from the mind blowing season opener. The story becomes darker and deeper. Visually it could not be more beautiful and in keeping with the series theme, yet refined and more fluid with the animation. The landscapes are as vast and inspiring but with more detail. It really feels like the story is in full swing with this episode. Jack and the wolf meet after the moving parallel stories from episode 2, as I'm sure we were all hoping and it's perfect. The showdown with daughters of Aku was on point. Jack has an epiphany via his flashback and chooses to create his destiny like a f**king boss, while dropping an epic quote from his father. The choreography of the combat was next level, really stepped up the complexity of the moves from seasons 1 – 4. The human element that exists within the daughters was displayed masterfully, hinting at perhaps future cooperation between Jack and the surviving daughter (hopefully). Seriously enthralled with where this is going. Nothing else on TV come close right now. 10/10.
