I love Bates Motel. It is one of my favourite series. However at this point I feel it has strayed to far from Psycho. This season could have been the best yet. So far it is far too drawn out and confused. It may have been better to do a half season to conclude (5-6 episodes) Here is how it should have gone. Romero escapes from jail. Dylan and Emma find out about Norma and Emma's mother. They all return to the motel for an epic showdown. Norman miraculously survives that showdown and kills the other three. He gets rid of the bodies and upon his return discovers a new guest at the motel, Marion Crane. The plot of Psycho ensues. He kills her in the shower. He is eventually caught and deemed insane. The last shot is the same as the film. His inner monologue scheming about his eventual release. Fin
