It's funny even if it relies on clichés: the not too bright, egotistical lead anchorman and the over-involved mom. At least it doesn't have a kooky, quirky nerdette. The main character is likable and has her faults and foibles which are not often seen in female leads. The interplay between Chuck and Carol are great, and the ones between Katie and Greg are snappy. I wish there was more Horatio Sanz. Overall, it probably won't make my top 10 list, and I'll DVR it while I watch Forged in Fire in real time, but it's good for 30 minutes of escapism.
