The Comic Strip Presents: War (1983)
Season 1, Episode 2
7/10
Like a vodka induced nightmare but funny.

This is probably the most bizarre Comic Strip episode. It's very much like the insane dreams I have on a regular basis.Constantly changing locations and running from psychos who are trying to kill me.Despite being very strange, this is still one of the better episodes. The communists have invaded Britain and the main characters(Peacock and French) are on the run. After their house is blown up(and French is showered in eggs, meat and butter) they get separated and spend the rest of the episode searching for each other. For some reason Peacock has red marks painted on his face and then later he is given a bowler and it becomes clear that they have made him into a clone of the singer from The Addicts(who is a clone of the guy from A Clockwork Orange)(IMDb's lame spell check won't let me spell the band's name right).I don't know if that had some meaning behind it so to me it's just stupid.I always found it weird that after the first two episodes Danny Peacock didn't play a bigger role in the rest of the series.Anyway, great episode.Watch it.
