The Hookers (1967)
3/10
Cheap and tawdry exploitation

Warning: Spoilers
THE HOOKERS is one of those cheap black and white exploitation movies of the 1960s that attempts to be an expose of a controversial subject matter but in fact merely provides cheap and tawdry titillation. The plot follows a trio of women who are drawn into the dark world of prostitution through various story machinations, but of course it's all an excuse for the usual striptease routines and bedroom sequences. The swinging, groovy music gives it a '60s vibe, but beware the version available for home viewing on Amazon Prime, which is heavily censored.
