I loved it

If you like storytelling, you are going to enjoy it. Baadshaho is all about the Emergency – After Emergency has been declared in India, the beautiful Maharani Gitanjali (Ileana) from one of the Rajasthan's Princely States who has already lost her privy purse, fears that she will lose the last consignment of gold which has been forcibly taken away from her. So, she asks her trusted deputy, Bhawani (Ajay) to step in and plan a heist. The mastermind, Bhawani (who deeply loves Gitanjali) promises her full support and positive results. He handpicks his crew— a lock picker, Tikla (Sanjay), a daredevil all-rounder, Daliya (Emraan), a 'I love dares-girl', Sanjana(Esha) who along with him, form the quartet that set out to outsmart the army guys taking the armoured truck from Rajasthan to Delhi. And this is the basic premise of the story. Director (Milan Luthria) has done a wonderful job by recreating the era of the 70s. First half of the movie is better than the second half due to well-balanced content; however, the film loses grip in the second half. Having said that, one can still continue enjoying brilliant performance and good cinematography. Rajat Arora (writer) has also done a good job with good dialogues; nevertheless, end of the movie could have been made better. I must mention that the costume designers have done a great job in giving the actors & actresses the accurate look (typical 70s). As far as acting is concerned, this is one best movies of Ajay Devgn's career (performance wise) and I can say that this role could not have performed better by any other actor apart from Ajay Devgn. Emraan Hashmi gave his best in the movie and Vidyut Jammwal's acrobatic skills manage to keep the audience engaged. Music is one of the biggest strengths of the film. All the tracks have been composed beautifully and according to the moment that the script demanded. Last but not the least, apart from the songs, superb background score was the biggest plus of the movie especially in the second half. Conclusion: Highly recommended to all the cine goers especially period movie lovers.
