'60s spy spoof
3 September 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I have no idea why SCREAM OF THE BIKINI seems to be so well-regarded on this site. It's an independent comedy spoof of the whole '60s spy genre, with a couple of agents going up against the usual bad guys of the era. The whole film is littered with genre tropes and clichés, and it has a jet-setting feel. It's a very low budget production with a lot of effort having gone into the set up, locations, and costumes. A shame, then, that the script just isn't funny, ever, and the overacting quickly becomes wearying.
