GUN OF THE BLACK SUN is an indie thriller, made as a UK/Romanian co-production and shot on the streets of London. The barely-existent storyline involves a cursed Nazi pistol that falls into the wrong hands and soon leads to some bad people doing some bad things. As with most indies of this ilk, most of the running time is packed with incessant dialogue, all of it badly scripted and very boring. Half is set in suburban homes and half in seedy nightclubs. Bizarrely, former footballer Ian Wright has a main role and is quite terrible, although veteran B-movie actor Richard Lynch also makes a surprising appearance.
