"Interpretation" is a 2008 short film from the United States, so this one will have its 10th anniversary soon. Writer and director is Lin Oeding, who is most prolific as a stunt artist, but a look at his body of work makes obvious how multi-talented he is. This is the story of a young couple discussing a movie when they run into a gang of street thugs. That's basically all there is to it, but for under 10 minutes it is enough. Some may see the fight outcome as slightly too heroic or even unrealistic, but I personally would say that the execution was in a way here that justified the action. It did feel like a credible watch. It is mostly a drama and a thriller, but there may also be one or two moments putting a smile on your lips. So yeah, nothing else to say. There's millions of worse ways to spend 9 minutes. It's not best-of-the-year material I guess and the awards recognition may be a bit on the exaggerated side, but it was a convincing watch in its entirety. Go check it out. It's free to watch here on IMDb.
