Warning: Spoilers
My god. This season was so terrible I don't even know where to begin. It was tediously slow and ridiculously unbelievable. Now don't get me wrong, all the seasons are unrealistic. But I can't suspend my disbelief if the acting is so atrocious. I LOVE all the actors in AHS when they are in their prime (Sarah Paulson- Lana Winters, Lily Rabb- Sister Mary Eunice, Kathy Bates- Madame Delphine) but this? This was the skirt steak season. I still crave the filet mignon of Asylum.

And I seriously couldn't even listen to the terrible accents throughout. Kathy Bates I love you but girl you need a voice coach, what was that? After her disastrous accent in Freak Show, I'm surprised producers let it happen again. And it was not just her. Lady Gaga's character was supposed to be English I believe, but had a weird Gypsy/Spanish type accent going on. Wat. And Sarah Paulson's British accent? Are you kidding me?!?! She might as well of had a tea cup in one hand and a crumpet in the other. (Was it supposed to be so blatantly terrible, am I missing the joke?)

The production value didn't even feel like American Horror story. The sets were tired and lifeless. The color palate was dull and uninspiring.

And lastly, the introduction of the show within show in chapter 6 was eye-roll inducing. I work in the film industry, but I didn't find all the behind the scenes elements cute. They were meant for people who know the film/TV world, but LA is not the only city on the planet. Not everybody will get the "parody" of a TV production. How about you focus on character development.

I am only on episode 7, but that is very far into the season. If I'm not captured by then, it's not going to happen. Very disappointing all around.

P.S.- Not getting to see Evan Peters until the fifth episode is a tragedy to all.
