They fight just to see how good they fight

Warning: Spoilers
This starts like your typical Kung Fun movie of the 70's and 80's. The son, Li (Billy Chong)returns home with a friend, Donny (Carl Scott) to find his father is in trouble with a local crime syndicate for refusing their "Business Deal". When you see Sing Chen and Tao Chiang listed as performers in a movie, you know there will definitely be a lot of fight scenes. Sing and Tao rely too much on a sword and cane in the movie for my taste. I am accustomed to seeing their hand to hand action. Sing and Tao's attempts to murder Li's father seem to be thwarted by the man's sheer will. They send an assassin to murder Li's dad in his home. He is stabbed but survives the attack. He is then attacked in the hospital yet managed to survive that attack. It is not until he is back home and nearly recuperated that Sing finally managed to kill the old man. There is the usual side actions. Li's cousin gambles too much and becomes indebted to Sing and Tao. They use him to ensure Li's bother is killed. The fight scene between Donny and the assassin at the mill is interesting. There is a gratuitous sex scene in the last 15 minutes of the movie - when the finale battle normally occurs. While Tao is doing battle with Li, Sing is busy getting his freak on with the local Madame. She is killed after the encounter, so I guess the sex wasn't that good or he discovered she was playing both sides. The last six minutes is the fight between Li and Sing. They fight in Tao's house, which has already been trashed by the previous battle between Tao and Li. It is't until Sing loses the cane that the better part of the fight occurs. I didn't like the ending, Li decides to sell the family business and flitter about in life for a while. He is still a young man with a lot of life left to live. So I guess it makes sense to him to walk away from everything. I gave it a 7 for the fight scenes.
