Her jungle blood still provokes her, in spite of European manners.

So says the European land developer who has made sultry "Jungle native" Judy Walsh his ward. She suspects Johnny Weismueller of murder, due to legal reasons no longer allowed to be Jungle Jim. This is better than many of the others in the series, simply because it seems like they took more time to come up with a believable story. Kimba the Chimp (replacing Tamba) is just as rambunctious as his (or her) predecessor, aiding Johnny as he deals with the developers and a group of cannibals who disguise themselves in crocodile skins. "Civilized life bores me", Walsh tells Johnny. "I prefer the jungle, like you", setting up romantic possibilities as they try to figure out how Walsh's ward's partner died. It appears that the producers tried to match up real jungle stock footage with the dramatic footage, because they look quite a bit alike. There's still the same level of silliness, predictable struggles with the dangerous wildlife and the less than convincing emoting from the aging Tarzan. Where some entries of the series were totally unbearable, this one is at least passable, if not really anything new.
