A night to remember, a film not that much to remember
9 December 2017
Warning: Spoilers
"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Launch" is a five-minute short film from 2015 that was apparently made to promote the release of the newest Witcher game back then and hey you don't hear it too often that video games get short films made about them professionally, not just by fans, so good for them. The watch here was okay overall. There were moments when I wasn't sure if it's animation or live action, at least in terms of the characters, but that's not a problem. A bigger problem may be that it took me a while to appreciate this one and for such a short film that is crucial in a negative way. But when I did, then I enjoyed the watch for the most part. I need to say that I have never played any of the Witcher games, so you know my background. If you have, then maybe it will be easier for you to like this little film we have here. All in all, it's an okay watch I guess, not bad or boring, but also not on a level where you want to play the game right now like it is for League of Legends with one short film I've seen. But we talked about that one on another occasion. This one here gets a cautious thumbs-up from me.
