9/10
Very well done thriller

Runaway Jury (2003) is a courtroom thriller/drama. This is one of my favorite movies for many different reasons. The cast is a big factor and positive for this movie. It boasts an A list Hollywood cast, with such names as: John Cusack, Rachel Weisz, Gene Hackman, Dustin Hoffman, and Jeremy Piven. They all turn in some of their finest performances, especially Hackman and Hoffman, who have great chemistry. Truthfully, one of the finest scenes in the entire thing is where they both face off in a dramatic fight over the case. I was blown away by their acting in that scene. The writing also deserves a nod because the dialogue throughout, and especially in a scene such as that, is so well put together. This thriller really works and is effective because of it's twists and the details of the plot. When you have an intriguing plot, well written dialogue, and talented actors, what can go wrong? 9/10 for Runaway Jury.
