Stodgy Eurospy with an exotic setting
14 January 2018
Warning: Spoilers
THIRTEEN DAYS TO DIE is a little-known Eurospy adventure filmed in Thailand with plenty of travelogue footage to pad out the overlong running time. It's a collaboration between West Germany, Italy, and France. The story involves a secret agent on the hunt for plans for uranium, plans which he must avoid from falling into the hands of the usual bad guy types. Truth be told, this is a cheap and unremarkable movie which suffers from a sluggish pace and a dearth of decent action scenes. Despite the Thai setting it doesn't have much in the way of exoticism. Thomas Alder is a stodgy hero although Horst Frank does some solid sneering in support.
