***SPOILERS*** Don't read any further unless you've seen this episode. That shouldn't be hard to do, because they show the dickens out of LMS every day on CMT, As a rule, I don't care that much for Mike Baxter. He judges everyone, and puts them down; can't stop making smart remarks, then at the end of the show, almost apologizes. In this case, one problem is his selfish need to have a collection of toy tanks, and a diorama of the Battle of the Bulge. The problem is that the tanks are enormously oversized in comparison to the laid out map, even if one was using them as division strength. In the end, he makes it all up, and tries to be a good guy.

Te other problem (Yes, I know that it's MY problem), is that generally speaking I don't like the character of Eve. Takes after her dad; insulting, rude, conceited without reason, lazy (unless it's sports, or a subject she likes in school), entitled, and judgemental. especially to Ryan, Kristen's fiance, whom she doesn't know at all.

In this episode, however, she has a point. She expected better treatment in the restaurant that Kristen manages in "Outdoor Man", and doesn't get it. Well, she DOES deserve it, because, if you've been watching the show, there have been times when Eve was put upon to babysit Boyd, Kristen and Ryan's son. I was gonna criticize because of the use of social media to air her grievance, but, guess what? That's the world she lives in. I still think that she was snotty and arrogant when Kris was trying to explain and apologize, but, on the whole, she was right.

Now, many of the jokes, one liners and insults ARE funny, even if one doesn't have Mike's political stance. It's a good show. The acting's good, and a couple of the guest stars almost pull the humorous rug right out from under Mike. There is usually a moral, or at least a lesson. I think it was predictable that it would be cancelled. I would have liked to see how they handled Eve being in classes at the Air Force Academy; one of the very serious high tech learning environs in our country.
