"Some are born" tells the story of Brian, a young man, who begins college as an innocent student but soon gets involved with the wrong people and spirals into a world of sex, drugs and addiction.
The movie is well produced and has a very thought-through plot, especially for a film with a rather low budget that has to work with simple basics. Even though the character development is pretty fast and especially towards the end new characters become a bit one-dimensional because they're mostly only introduced for a single purpose, the characters in general are skillfully built up and played. Personally I didn't like the ending because it doesn't seem very plausible for me, but apart from that this is really a thrilling movie that will keep you entertained and curious.
All in all more people should give this film a try. It is a nice diversion from the typical Hollywood blockbusters and works well with the finances given.
