Just like all the rest of the horror tripe produced over the past 18 or so years, this is a rip-off of a valid horror movie. They lool like the creatures from "The Descent" and even live in a cave. You know what o expect from there... only you actually want to see most of this cast get wasted as painfully as possible. Don't the directors from this new generation of directors know that you're supposed to make the characters sympathetic to the audience? All swagger and no brains. Who actually goes into te woods or a jungle without reaprovisins o at least lighters? Only one is present, and it does little good down in a cave. The only difference with this one is that the creatures are 'outed' online and folks respond. It's still the same plot, same creatues, different country. Had these folks made a fire, things would have gone much diferently. Just a fire...
Of course, they make all the same mistakes other horror movies do every single time: they separate even when the body count kicks in. People stand by an scream, run or just try to pull them away while their friends are torn apart, rather than just defend them. Can ANYONE make a decent and well thought out horror movie these days? It IS filmed pretty well, and the director does seem to know what to do with the cameras... just has no clue how to be original or present a story not already done to death. If I were Neil Marshall, I'd be mad as hell...
