The Walking Dead: Do Not Send Us Astray (2018)

In an episode that makes the whole Lauren Cohan contract situation feel even more awkward, 'Do not Send Us Astray' puts Maggie at the forefront and continues the all out war conflict as The Saviors arrived at The Hilltop with their walker blood filled weapons.

It's awkward because I feel as though Maggie has been the most consistently realistic person in this post apocalyptic drama. She's always stayed level-headed, even after her devastating loss of Glenn a few years back. It's strange that she could be on her way out if the contract isn't signed soon, and then we're stuck with the revenge filled Rick who is still not agreeing to go about his son's last wishes.

But back to the war, it sure feels like the Dwight-Saviors conflict is rising as it's pretty clear Dwight did not lace his weapons with walker blood, as the others did. Another clue as to how Dwight meets his end. But I'm pretty sure a lot of comic readers already know how this plot goes. The other big moment came from the new kid of the series we have to care about, Henry, as he took a page out of Carl's book as he took on the caged Saviors alone with an assault rifle. Only, it didn't quite go as planned (expectedly). So are we going to follow Carol looking for Sophia (I mean Henry) again...?

The good thing is, these episodes don't really have any downtime. The mere fact that everyone is in the same place brings the pacing of the episodes up 1000% percent. While there isn't always the outcome we would like, these back half episodes are certainly better than what we saw in late 2017, and I'll take it.
