This is my sixth favorate episode of the show. Not a lot I can say for this one, as it's basically a "Blair Witch Project" or found footage horror parody but it's one that I personally feel is done right. Lets just say the found footage film the Holiston gang is putting together makes hoaxers look like academy award winners.
The whole project is pretty much a disaster from the get go, but what's funny is the fact that their all really trying and not even coming close. There are just a lot of fun moments I don't want to give too much away this is one you have to see most of it yourself.
It's just funny seeing how there are lots of blunders in this film most caused unintentionally and just trying way too hard to follow all the cleches that are in them even thought the intend of those film are not to fall into cleches; for guys that make films they seem to have no idea how to do the found footage horror area which is a strange thing to say.
There are a lot of memorable lines, I really love how Laura delivers the line "Were so wasted." it's just cracks me up. But to me one of the highlights are when they all find the sticks hung up in the woods, an homage obviously to the "Blair Witch" and on a further note the guy that made those sticks in that film made the ones in this episode. It was just hillarous as we see what those sticks really are and the cast members are just giving Joe a hard time about it.
Reality can sometimes be funnier than fiction.
