The Fairly OddParents started life as a series of shorts on Oh Yeah! Cartoons. The show lasted many years, has had many great characters introduced, and has some made-for-TV movies. In the beginning, Timmy Turner often made selfish wishes, which often went wrong in unintended ways. These days, Timmy is wiser with his fairies (Cosmo and Wanda) and often wishes to help friends and family.

Poof is Cosmo and Wanda's baby. Sparky is Timmy's pet fairy dog. While Chloe, is Timmy's neighbor, who has to share his fairies. Jorgen Von Strangle, was originally an antagonist, but has become a powerful ally.

Vicky, was first introduced way back in the pilot episode on Oh Yeah! Cartoons. She was and is Timmy's evil babysitter. Vicky often served as the shows main antagonist in the being. Mr. Crocker was introduced shortly after, as Timmy's crazy fairy hunting teacher. Francis (the school bully) hasn't played much of a role as a main antagonist, but has been one in select episodes. Dark Laser (a Darth Vader parody) was introduced as a villain, which Timmy gave life to (due to a wish complication). There is also the anti-fairies. There is one anti-fairy for every fairy in the universe, each one being the exact opposite of his or her counter part. Foop (Anti-Cosmo and Anti-Wanda's baby) is the opposite of Poof. The pixies are just as magical as fairies, but they treat magic as a business.

The cast also consist of Timmy's mom and dad, who were neglectful at first, but became more of characters throughout the shows run. Chester and AJ are Timmy's best friends. Elmer and Sanjay are Timmy's backup friends. Tootie is Vicky's little sister, and she has a crush on Timmy. The Crimson Chin is a comic book super hero Timmy brought to life, and Timmy became his sidekick. Juandissimo is Wanda's ex-boyfriend. Trixie, Veronica, Tad, and Chad are the popular kids. Mark Chang (an alien prince of a powerful warrior race) once served as an antagonist, but is now Timmy's ally and friend.

The cast is great and well balanced. The humor is funny, the designs are nice, and the show is great.
