I remember this short-lived TV series around the late eighties, produced by the television compliant, TVARK. It discussed aspects of human physionomy and cerebral, moral and ethical developments from what I recall. The single most striking memory is the short synthesizer theme tune which was uplifting and yearning in its music style. The opening theme video is linked to here at imdb in the provided.
