Just like Hunger Games, it didn't take the necessary risks to make it great. I've given it eight stars because the characters and story were well done. The pace was too slow, relied heavily on special affects, and the music was too cerebral. I did miss things that were in the book but not in film, but I've learned to forgive other films for that. I hope they make a sequel and fix things like they did in Hunger Games. I think, possibly someone thought they were making a "girls" movie. It is science fiction adventure movie starring a female and should have been done with the respect they gave a film like Harry Potter.
