In the Woods (I) (2010)
1/10
a truely terrible film
27 August 2018
Well - the only positive is that it's under 1 hr 24 minutes long (excluding credits which if you've got this far you've probably had a drink too many). Were this filmed in the early 1900's the viewer could escape the script - so poorly scribed that the overly misplaced and repetative scenic views were a welcome relief. As for the acting? Our heroine was just laughable throughout - and the character? A Money obsessed, self absorbed adulteress who we are supposed to have sympathy for. The scenario was as expected (as was the plot) from the start. Clues left right and centre - and the usual ending... yes I won't spoil it although it has been played over every comparable films of this genre. As for the camera capturing this torment..... well enough said. My advice? Look out of the window for 1 hour 24 minutes. You will have more excitement.
