In the tradition of Diane Brewster as Samantha Crawford, Paticia Breslin cons
Bart Maverick into holding two men whom she claims are wanted for the sheriff
who is with a posse chasing robbers. She promises $300.00 and then skips out
leaving a much embarassed Jack Kelly.
Breslin is on her way to head up a cattle drive where she and others have pooled their resources. When Kelly arrives it's clear that he knows more about cattle herding than the rest put together so he gets the job of trail boss.
But that leads to more problems because on the drive a few of the men are knifed to death. It would make the pot at the end give bigger shares to the survivors.
