While this programme is for some reason addictive it's also slightly ridiculous. It seems whatever budget the participants say they have is immediately scoffed at by Lucy Alexander. No matter how high, it would seem it's never enough. Are the homeowners in the programme incapable of doing any DIY themselves in order to save cash? It would seem so. It would also seem they are incapable of sourcing anything themselves to stay within budget. On occasion I could have kitted out my whole house with some of the budgets destined for just one room! While I enjoy watching for ideas, it's generally teamed with me sourcing things on my iPad for a lot cheaper than on this programme. All I can say is they must employ the most expensive tradesmen for the programme because otherwise I struggle to see where some of these inflated budgets disappear to!!!
