Living in the Granada region when I was a kid. They would frequently show a 10CC video to fill the time before closing down. Of course it helped that the band were Manchester lads.

It is very hard to define the 10cc sound as their music was so eclectic mainly due to the band being split into two seperate songwriting duos.

'I'm not in love' is probably their best known hit but not typical of their sound as this breezy documentary shows.

Graham Gouldman started writing hits for other bands while he was still a teenager. The band members worked with others such as Neil Sedaka before deciding to write for themselves.

10cc achieved critical and commercial acclaim. They was interest shown by major labels who wanted to break them into America.

Godley & Creme got more involved into the visual side. They were involved in the early video promotions for the band and later would become renowned video directors.

It is a shame the band never properly reunited, as they have largely faded away although some of their songs such as Dreadlock Holiday, I'm Mandy Fly Me, Rubber Bullets; are still well known.

At least this documentary highlights a quirky, innovative British band that rode the wave of pop in the 1970s.
