The Walking Dead: A New Beginning (2018)
Season 9, Episode 1
6/10
Possible show Reincarnation
8 October 2018
Firstly I'd like to say that I have been very critical and disappointed of Season 6,7 & 8 of TWD. That being said, this episode gave me that same exciting feeling that I felt when I watched the very first episode of TWD.

Fresh, new, we jump in a few months after Negan's capture and it looks like The Walking Dead 2.0. From the get go you can notice Angela Kangs presence in writing, which was God awful in the last few seasons. Now it's more realistic, quotable, interesting, feels like the glass is half full, opposite of S06-08 when it was half empty and dialogue itself was pointless, boring, bunch of words put together to try and make a simplistic point. Now it's much more professional and it enhances the acting as well the entire atmosphere.

I thought the episode itself was eye closing and boring, but as a first episode it was a great build up for the things to come. Not much action, not really exciting episode, but it welcomes you in the new world of the walking dead in a truly beautiful and greatly done way.

I haven't been at all excited to watch this new season as I have pretty much lost hope for the show. But if the writing stays constitent and alluring, acting improves (which I can already see it has), and show still keeps its thrilling drama and action, I can see this season being very very good. As far as first episode, looks promising looking forward, I'll be watching.
